UPDATE to Holy Trinity School’s dress code policy---implemented starting August 14 2023

Dress Code
Uniforms are to be worn to school by all Holy Trinity school students unless a special announcement has been made. Students who come to school out of dress code will be sent to the school office to call and ask a parent to bring appropriate clothing to school. Continued failure to follow the school dress code policy may result in loss of recess time and loss of special privileges on non-uniform days.
VIOLATIONS:
1.) Verbal Warning ( WILL BE NOTED BY TEACHER)Girl’s Uniform
Grades PK-8
Shirts/blouses: white, navy blue or light blue polo shirt. Shirts may be long or short sleeved. All shirts must have a collar. Girls may also wear an oxford blouse (white, navy blue or light blue)
Jumpers, skirts or skorts must be school plaid or solid navy blue. Must be no shorter than middle of thigh, and not above the fingertips. Grades 6-8 may wear skirts in navy blue, school plaid, or khaki. Uniform skirts and jumpers may be found on www.educationalapparel.com - Holy Trinity School Somerset #156.
Pants or shorts: Grades 4-8 must wear pants with belt loops. A belt is required for Grades 4th-8th. Leggings MAY NOT be worn as pants. Grades K-5 may wear only navy pants/shorts. Grades 6-8 may wear khaki pants/shorts. Uniform shorts are permitted until October 1, and after April 1 unless adjusted by principal.
Please note!! Ladies in grades 6-8 may choose to wear khaki colored pants, shorts, skirts or skorts in addition to navy blue as part of their school uniform.
Boy’s Uniform
Grades PK-8
Shirts: Polo style shirt or oxford shirt in white, navy blue or light blue. Shirts may be long or short sleeved. All shirts must have a collar.
Pants or shorts: Grades 4-8 must wear pants with belt loops. A belt must be worn when belt loops are present. Grades K-5 must be wear navy pants. Grades 6-8 may wear khaki pants. Uniform shorts are permitted until October 1, and after April 1 unless adjusted by principal.

Please note!! Gentlemen in grades 6-8 may choose to wear khaki colored pants or shorts in addition to navy blue as part of their school uniform.
ALL Students
All students must wear a plain black, brown or blue belt with all uniform pants or shorts that have belt loops.
Boys and girls may wear turtleneck shirts in the above listed uniform colors. All uniform blouses and shirts should be plain, solid colors (as noted above) without lace, ruffles, or other decorations. Shirts are to be tucked in.
Sweaters: Sweaters must be solid navy blue, gray or white.
Sweatshirts: Sweatshirts must be SOLID, PLAIN navy blue or gray. Students should wear a blouse or polo shirt under the sweatshirt. Sweatshirts intended to be worn all day in the classroom must be the above-mentioned types. NO UA, Nike, etc.…must be uniformed approved. NO High school logos, ONLY Holy Trinity Spirit Wear.
Socks: All socks should be a plain black, white or navy-blue color. Socks must be worn at all times. Striped socks and no-show socks are not permitted. Must cover the ankle and may not be any bright color. Socks must show at the top of the shoe. Ladies may wear tights in the above-mentioned colors.
Shoes: Shoes may be an athletic or dress shoe that is appropriate and safe for wearing at school. All shoes must have a back and toes. (Sandals, clogs and crocs are not permitted at school, NO slip on shoes, NO heels). Boots and ball cleats are not to be worn in the classroom. High heeled shoes should not be worn to school. Parents are asked to consider if a shoe will be a distraction when purchasing school shoes for their student. Consideration should also be given to the fact the shoe will be part of a school uniform. If your child wears boots due to weather, they must bring a change of appropriate school shoes with them. TENNIS SHOES MUST BE WORN ON DAYS YOUR CHILD HAS GYM CLASS.
Jewelry and Makeup: Girls may wear a wristwatch, small post earrings, small bracelets and religious medals only. No other jewelry is permitted. No dangling earrings. Boys may wear a wristwatch, small bracelet, and religious medals only. No other jewelry (including earrings) may be worn by our male students. Girls in grades 6-8 only may wear light makeup to school.
Acrylic or press on nails are not permitted.
Hair accessories: Must be small and plain. No large headbands with ears and/or other decorations/characters are to be worn at school. Hair accessories may not be distracting.
Extreme hair styles (for example Mohawks) are not permitted. Hair extensions are not to be worn to school. Boys hair must be clean cut, and above the collar and eyebrows. Designs may not be shaved into hair. Hair dye and tinsel are not permitted.
The school principal has the final decision on all dress code issues and should be contacted with any questions or concerns regarding dress code.
OUT OF UNIFORM
Clothes must be clean, modest, and appropriate even on out of uniform days. If a student does not come to school dressed appropriately on an out of uniform day, a call home will be made for parents to bring other clothes to change into. Repeat offenders will lose out of uniform privilege.
Pants- Jeans without holes or rips, joggers, and other lose fitting pants are permitted. No leggings, yoga pants, or other form fitting pants are allowed.
Shorts- Shorts may not be shorter than mid-thigh and should be of the Bermuda style. Athletic shorts are not permitted.
Shoes- Shoes for out of uniform days follow the same guidelines as regular dress code days. Socks must also be worn on out of uniform days.
Shirts- Shirts must have sleeves, be loose fitting, and of an appropriate length. Graphics and words must be appropriate and positive.
Makeup/Nails/Jewelry- Follow the same guidelines as regular dress code days.
PICTURE DAY/DRESS UP OCCASION DAYS
Shoes- Must be closed toe and closed heel.
Skirts and Dresses- Must be no more than two inches above the knee. Shoulders must be covered. If the dress does not have sleeves, a cardigan or shawl must be worn over top.
Shirts- Must be appropriate in fit and graphics.
Pants- Must follow the regular dress code.
